Slack connects at the workspace level (OAuth), not with a linking code.

1

Open Caddie settings

In the B3OS app, go to Organizations → Settings → Caddie and open the Slack pane.

2

Connect your workspace

Click Connect Slack workspace and approve the install in the Slack authorization window. You need permission to install apps in that workspace.

3

Talk

@mention Caddie in any channel it's been added to, or DM it from the Apps section. The workspace acts within your linked organization.

In a shared workspace, you can additionally link you — so Caddie can attribute actions to your B3OS account:

  1. In the Slack pane, generate a 6-digit identity code.
  2. Send the bare 6 digits to Caddie as a DM or @mention.

Don't use a slash command for this — Slack routes slash commands to itself, so Caddie never sees the code. Just send the 6 digits as a normal message.

Good To Know

  • Interactive elements (buttons, pickers) work in Slack — when Caddie needs details, answer inline.
  • The daily digest can post to a Slack channel of your choice — configured in the same settings tab.
  • Money-moving asks confirm before executing, same as every surface — see When Caddie acts vs asks.
